Sejarah

Program Studi Diploma III (D3) Kebidanan di Politeknik Baubau memiliki sejarah yang berakar dari Akademi Kebidanan Yayasan Kesehatan Nasional Baubau. Sebagai bagian dari upaya untuk meningkatkan kualitas dan efisiensi pendidikan tenaga kesehatan di wilayah Sulawesi Tenggara, akademi ini kemudian bergabung dengan Akademi Tenaga Kesehatan Baubau. Penggabungan ini menghasilkan pendirian Politeknik Baubau yang resmi berdiri pada tanggal 4 September 2017, berdasarkan Keputusan Menteri Riset, Teknologi, dan Pendidikan Tinggi Nomor 478/KPT/I/2017 .

Sejak menjadi bagian dari Politeknik Baubau, Program Studi D3 Kebidanan terus berkembang dengan fokus pada pendidikan vokasi yang berkualitas. Program ini dirancang untuk menghasilkan bidan yang terampil dan siap kerja, dengan kurikulum yang menekankan pada keterampilan klinis, pelayanan kesehatan ibu dan anak, serta penanganan kegawatdaruratan maternal dan neonatal. Selain itu, program ini juga mengintegrasikan pendekatan holistik melalui kebidanan komplementer, yang memadukan praktik kebidanan modern dengan pendekatan alternatif yang mendukung kesehatan ibu dan anak secara menyeluruh.

Dengan komitmen untuk mencetak lulusan yang kompeten dan profesional, Program Studi D3 Kebidanan Politeknik Baubau terus berupaya meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan melalui berbagai program pengembangan, termasuk praktik klinik di fasilitas kesehatan terkemuka dan pelatihan keterampilan tambahan. Lulusan program ini diharapkan mampu berkontribusi secara signifikan dalam pelayanan kesehatan masyarakat, khususnya dalam bidang kebidanan, baik di tingkat lokal maupun nasional.
